The Barton County Health Department and Barton County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday. People could safely dispose of prescription drugs at the drop-off site on the southeast side of the courthouse square. In the first hour they collected 82 pounds of items, said Karen Winkelman from the health department. The health department was also offering a flu shot clinic that day.
