Eight interior design students from Fort Hays State University traveled to Denver, Colo., recently for the annual Parade of Homes.
The Parade of Homes featured 55 homes from $1 to $6 million, across the Denver metro area from Loveland, Colo. to Castle Rock, Colo. Students also visited Restoration Hardware and Design Within Reach, where they were presented with some of the new styles and the future opportunities in interior design.
“The purpose behind this trip was to allow the interior design students to meet with professional designers and to see this year’s new colors, technology and styles,” said Charmion Arthur, instructor of art and design.
Local student who went on the trip was Katherine Lies, senior of Albert.
“It was a great learning experience,” Lies said. “It was a great opportunity to meet with professional designers. I’m looking forward to next year’s trip.”
