GBMS Above and Beyond

Great Bend Middle School announces the February through May Above and Beyond Winners. Each of these students was nominated by their teachers because they have gone above and beyond the call of duty in becoming a good citizen of GBMS. The students received a certificate and a pizza and pop luncheon.  
7th grade: Audrey Muth, Brian Fry, Emma Allen, Gabby Esquivel, C.J. Adams, Jacob Meeks, Jordan Mountain, Michael Montelongo, Jorge Enriquez, Cordell Stanley, Korbin Widiger, Ivy Davidson, Marcus Schmeidler, Laureen Dirreen, Autumn Weingrad, Evelyn Salcido, Clarissa Barrera, and Audriana Bender.
8th grade: Kyler Merten, Ty Esfeld, Daniel Castro, Kelsey Naab, and Ethan Wedel.

Barton County 4-Hers receive scholarships

Barton County 4-H members were presented scholarships to further their education from the Barton County 4-H Holding Board, Chari Miller-Manry and the Carl and Evelyn Miller Memorial scholarship funds. The 4-H Holding Board Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation and all funds are used for the benefit of 4-H youth of Barton County. Matching funds for the Holding Board scholarships were provided by Chari Miller-Manry, in memory of Allan V. Miller who served as a volunteer 4-H leader for many years.
