Encounter Church, located at 601 Patton Road in Great Bend, invites the Great Bend area to attend their annual Candy Blast happening on Saturday, April 8. The fun starts indoors at noon with tons of games, music, and giveaways for kids of all ages.

Any children who are registered by their parents will be eligible to win some of the prizes given throughout the indoor hour. Then at 1 p.m., the fun moves outdoors to the west end of the property, where kids will take turns lining up in age groups to watch thousands of pieces of candy launched from huge cannons.

“We make sure that nobody leaves empty handed,” said Megan Tate, children’s pastor for Encounter Church. “Invite your friends and family, and make plans to join us for this free event! And if you don’t have a church home, we’d love to have you back on Easter Sunday at 10:30 a.m.”

Anyone interested in learning more about the Candy Blast event can find more details on the Encounter Church Facebook page (www.facebook.com/events/226861319812086). Visitors can also learn more about Encounter Church and its ministries online at www.encounterchurchgb.com.
