Great Bend Firefighters were at Walmart and Dillons on 10th St. on Friday, Sept. 4, “filling the boot” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Every year on the Friday before Labor Day, GBFD firefighters position themselves at the busiest stores in Great Bend with firefighter boots in hand to raise funds for the MDA Boot Block campaign. All proceeds go to the MDA Heart of America Chapter. Donations can be made year round at Station #1.
