The Great Bend Fire Department responded to a fire that destroyed a mobile home at 831 Pine Place shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Deputy Fire Chief Brent Smith said Monday that the cause of the fire was “undetermined.”

“We have ruled out ‘suspicious’ as a cause,” Smith said. The Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the scene on Saturday.

There was no one inside at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The occupant of the trailer was in the process of moving out. While the gas had been turned off, the electricity was still on.

Smith said a passerby saw the blaze and reported it by calling 911.
