Fog seal to begin Wednesday
Great Bend Logo-Light-01.png

If your street has been chip and sealed, please continue not to park on it, city officials are asking. Starting Wednesday Aug. 23, they will be going back onto those streets and putting a fog coat on top of it. Once the Fog coat has been applied it is advised not to drive on it for at least 2 hours after initial application. This work could last until next Wednesday Aug. 30.

City staff will attempt to contact those who are still parked on the streets.

Be advised: Vehicles, that have not been moved when work commences, will need to be towed.

“Please be attentive as crews work in these areas. We will make every effort to minimize the impact to traffic and we thank you for your patience as we understand that this an inconvenience,” said Public Works Director Jason Cauley.

Those with questions or concerns can contact Cauley at 620-793-4150 or jcauley@greatbendks.net.
