Fourth suspect caught in Hoisington

Eric Peters, 37, the fourth suspect connected to a search warrant executed at 306 Garfield St. in Olmitz on Monday, was caught by the Barton County Sheriff’s Department in Hoisington on Tuesday.
“The BCSO received information that Peters was in a house on Fifth Street in Hoisington and after receiving this information we executed the search warrant at the residence,” Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said.
Peters is being held in the Barton County Jail on charges of distribution of hallucinogenics, possession of methamphetamine, rape and felony obstruction. His bond is set at $105,000.
Three people were arrested Monday in Olmitz: Josh Frydendall, 26, of Great Bend; Darren Halzle, 34, of rural St. John; and Rachel Kelley, 40, of Olmitz. All three were booked on charges of distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond on all three subjects is $100,000.
After their arrests, Bellendir announced that Peters was also wanted.
As of press time, there is no further information on the rape charge. All four suspects remain in custody.
