Friends of Cheyenne Bottoms annual meeting

The Friends of Cheyenne Bottoms annual meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Wetlands Education Center, 592 NE K-156 Highway. Prior to a short business meeting, members will be treated to a meal of hamburgers and hot dogs. After the meeting, Don Kazmaier will give a presentation on how to attract hummingbirds. Kazmaier, of Larned, has been attracting several species of hummers to his yard for many years and has grown and tested several flower varieties, developing a list of plants hardy enough to grow in South Central Kansas.
$25 memberships and renewals will be available for purchase the day of the meeting.
