GBHS debate teams hit the road

The Great Bend High School debate team placed second as a team in Sweepstakes this past weekend at the Buhler Invitational. Team members received the following honors at the Oct. 20 tournament:

Patrick Heath and Bayle Sandy - first place open team (second week in a row) 4 wins/1 loss; Patrick Heath - 2nd place overall open speaker

Daniel Abbott and Geoffrey Pafford - 4th place open team  4 wins/1 loss; Geoffrey Pafford - 6th place overall open speaker

Skylar Fletcher and Dalton Ruble 3 wins/2 losses in the novice division; Skylar Fletcher - 5th place overall novice speaker

Robert Brining and CJ Gibson - 2 wins/3 losses

Christoper Clarke and Tia Mitchell – 1 win/4 losses

The team placed 2nd as a team in Sweepstakes at Buhler.

GBHS debaters also attended Hoisington Novice Night on Monday, Oct. 22:  

Robert Brining and CJ Gibson brought home gold medals by finishing with 3 wins/0 losses

Christoper Clarke and Paige Bylerly received medals for 2 wins/1 loss

Skylar Fletcher and Malachi Wasson – 1 win/2 losses

Citraly Torres, Natalie Bayona, Isaiah Smith and Dalton Ruble had a record of 0 wins and 3 losses
