Join staff from the Kansas Wildlife &and Parks office and learn the basics of fishing.
Parents, grandparents or any other adults are welcome to enjoy fishing with a child and may just watch or fish, but must have a license to fish.
After the morning of fishing at Veterans Memorial Lake, the rest of the afternoon will be full of fun activities at the Great Bend Recreation Commission Activity Center.
Pigs in a blanket, fruit and beverages will be provided for lunch along with snacks in the morning and afternoon.
This program will be held on Friday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for children ages 6 – 12.
The entry fee is $15 and is due by 5 p.m. Wednesday. Enroll at the Great Bend Recreation Commission office located at 1214 Stone Street or call 793-3755 ext. 2 for more information.
