Hoisington City Clerk Donita Crutcher takes notes at the Monday, Nov. 25 Hoisington City Council meeting. She will retire in January, 2020, after more than 30 years with the city.

HOISINGTON -- After more than 30 years in her position, Hoisington City Clerk Donita Crutcher will retire in January.  A reception is being planned for sometime around January 31, with exact details to be announced soon, Hoisington City Manager Jonathan Mitchell told the Great Bend Tribune Thursday, Dec. 12.

Moving into the City Clerk position will be the current Deputy City Clerk, Cecilia Conrad. The city has been advertising for and conducted interviews in recent weeks for a new Deputy City Clerk.  That position has now been filled.

Kim Loesch, a Hoisington resident, checks all the boxes, Mitchell said. She has extensive experience working with regional accounting firms and resides in Hoisington with her husband and two children. She began working with the City on Monday. She will have the opportunity to work with Donita Crutcher and Cecelia Conrad as Donita transitions into retirement and Cecelia transitions into the City Clerk position.
