Honored musicians
The following Great Bend High School band members were selected for the Southwest District Kansas Music Educators Association District Honor Band: Estella Schumacher, first alternate on trumpet, Taylor Lampe, trumpet, Hannah Mosier, first alternate on mallets, and Nicholas Elliott, percussion. They will participate in the band on Saturday in Dodge City and present their concert at 3:15 in the DCHS auditorium. They were selected through taped auditions from students in this 22-county district.
