Three positions were up for election in Tuesday’s Ellinwood City Council race. Incumbents Jacque Isern, Kirk Clawson and Kenneth Lebbin were all reelected to their seats on the council.
Meanwhile in Hoisington, incumbent Gary Shook defeated challenger John Henderson for the Ward Four position. Karen Van Brimmer ran unopposed in Ward One.
“I’m honored to have been reelected as an Ellinwood city council member, a position I am very proud of and take seriously,” said Isern. “I look forward to working with the mayor and city administrator again and will make my decisions in the best interest of the community and residents.”
“I would like to extend a huge thanks to all the folks who entrusted me to serve the City of Ellinwood,” Lebbin said. “There is a lot of satisfaction being able to work in this capacity and I look forward to serving our community for another two years.”
“Thank you to everyone who came out and supported me with your vote,” Shook said. “One thing that makes our city government work so well is that we take care of our employees. They make our city shine and I’m excited to be able to help them in that endeavor.”
