I am Erika Julian, and would like to announce my candidacy to serve Great Bend as the city council person in the 4th Ward. Six years ago, my husband Rick and I moved back to Great Bend where he was born and raised. Since then, I have taken an active interest in this community by volunteering for numerous events, also by serving as Chairperson of the Head Start Policy Council, as PTO secretary, and I am a coach and board member for the Special Olympics. My husband and I also own and operate two businesses here in Great Bend. I feel Great Bend has so much to offer, and look forward to being able to finish raising our four children and five foster children in this community we proudly call home. Nearly a year ago I began attending city council meetings hoping to better understand the issues
we are faced with as our city continues to strive for growth while maintaining a safe, stable environment for us to enjoy. I am excited with the opportunity to possibly serve as the council person from the 4th Ward, if you will trust me with your vote, I will work hard to earn that trust as I listen to you, so I can represent our Ward well.
