K-State announces Outstanding Senior Awards

MANHATTAN — Eleven students from the College of Health and Human Sciences are being recognized with 2022 fall Outstanding Senior Awards, and one student has been selected to speak at the college’s commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in Bramlage Coliseum. 

From the area, Ruth McCaleb, personal financial planning, Sterling, is the recipient of a research/creative inquiry award.

This year’s Outstanding Senior Award winners were nominated by faculty and staff within each of their respective programs.

The engagement award is given to graduating seniors who have made exemplary contributions that impact the well-being of the community or individuals in the community. The leadership award is given to graduating seniors who have exhibited excellence in leadership; recognized for their contributions to the campus, college, program and professional organizations. The outstanding research/creative activity award is given to graduating seniors whose research or creative activity has made a significant contribution to his or her field of study.
