Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation has announced two recipients of the 2012 Becky Nicholson/Kans for Kids Scholarship.Katie Schwartz will graduate with honors from Millard South High School, Omaha, Neb., on May 26. She is the daughter of Matt and Karen Schwartz, Omaha. Katie was diagnosed with a stage 3 undifferentiated sarcoma at the age of 9 months and was the reason that Kans for Katie (which later became Kans for Kids) began in 1994, to help defray her medical expenses.
