Kiowa Gun Club benefit shoot

The Kiowa Gun Club has scheduled a benefit shoot for the Barton County 4-H Shooting Team. The 3rd Annual Great Plains Speed Shooting Championship is schedule for a 9 a.m. start on Saturday, June 11, at the Kiowa Gun Club Range for members and non-members. Pre-registration before June 4 is $20 per firearm. After June 4, registration is $25 per firearm. Flyer, rules, and entry form are available on the club website: www.kiowagunclub.org  

The shoot is limited to the first 50 entries. Registration and entry fee can be mailed to Kiowa Gun Club, PO Box 562, Great Bend, KS 67530.

The range is located at 369 SW 50 Ave (from Great Bend: West U.S. 56 before Dundee). 

This event is a 150 round steel target event. Course of fire will be four steel challenge stages (Showdown, Roundabout, Smoke & Hope, Accelerator) and two Outlaw Stages. Stages are subject to change. This is a non-sanctioned event and not affiliated with the USPSA or SCSA. Minor competitors (Pre-Teen or Youth) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If the parent or legal guardian also competes, he/she shall be in the same squad with his/her minor. Minor competitors shall be capable of and observe safe gun handling skills and shall pose no safety threat to themselves or others.

Divisions: Lady, Pre-Teen (age 9-12); Junior (age 13-17); Senior (age 55-64); Super Senior (age 65 or older). Age on date of shoot shall determine competition category. Awards will be given in each of eight Gun Divisions. Awards will be given in five Competition Categories in both Rimfire and Centerfire. Spectators are welcome. No pets or concession.
