Komarek to speak at LOWV meeting
1-Tribune

This month’s Great Bend League of Women Voters program will be given by member Beverly Komarek, and the topic will be the League itself. The group will meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Classic Inn.
Komarek will discuss who the League is, what the League is and the programs League supports. She will discuss the bylaws and how members define what they can support and what they need to study.
“This is a very important election year, and everyone needs to be an informed voter,” Komarek said.
Members who attend Tuesday’s meeting are asked to bring the manual they were given, but the public is also invited, as always. League is a non-partisan organization devoted to informing and educating the voting public on national, state and local issues of importance.
Membership is open to both men and women.
