KWEC offers mother-daughter fairy garden class
new_lgp_kwecgardenclasspic
A miniature garden ready for fairies was created by a mother and daughter during a previous fairy garden class at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. Registration is open for this year’s class.

Where do fairies live? At your house in the fairy garden, you’ll create for them, during the Kansas Wetlands Education Center’s mother-daughter fairy garden class, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on April 30. Grandmothers are invited too, of course. Registration is required by April 22, by calling 877-243-9268.

There is a $12 fee for this class.

Children must be 6 years of age or older. It will take the full two hours to complete, so please bear that in mind when bringing children.

Using items from nature, mother-daughter(s) teams will create a fairy house from a small gourd, a maple seed dragonfly, moss- or stone-lined paths and more, completing a fairy garden. The only limit is your imagination. The KWEC will supply the container, gourds, succulent plants, moss, soil and ceramic mushroom, and you supply the imagination, the fairies and any other fairy garden accessories. Your fairyland adventure awaits.
