Larned hospital auxiliary taking donations for luminaries

LARNED — The University of Kansas, Pawnee Valley Campus Auxiliary is accepting donations for luminaries on the hospital grounds in memory of loved ones who are now deceased. The luminaries are traditionally lit on the first Sunday of Advent. The lights will be turned on Sunday, December 1 at 7 p.m. at the Pawnee Valley Hospital and will be displayed each night through January 1.

This event is a remembrance of loved ones who will never be forgotten. The list each year recalls the many who have died not only this past year, but in the years gone by.

Each memory light is $5. The cost has been the same for the entire 22-year history.

The list of names will be displayed in the lobby of the hospital during the holiday season.

The form can be picked up at the hospital front desk, and forms will be distributed to area churches. Connie Fox is the chairperson for this annual event and she can be reached at P.O. Box 437. Larned, KS 67550.
