Leadership Golden Belt graduated 15 participants from the three-month leadership training program on Nov. 21. Key note speaker, Larry Straub, Chairman and CEO of Straub International kicked off the celebration with a formal graduation ceremony following. The Leadership Golden Belt Class of 2011 joins a growing alumni class, with now four years of alumni.
Leadership Golden Belt 2011 started in September with a kick-off retreat at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. From there, the class met every other week in different locations throughout the four county region including Stafford, Larned, Great Bend, La Crosse, and Ellinwood. The class ended with a three day trip to Wichita to attend the Kansas Leadership Center’s Leadership Summit in which over 300 current participants of other community leadership programs throughout Kansas convened to further develop and practice their leadership skills and network with other leaders across the state.
