The First United Methodist Church is starting a brand-new tradition: celebrating the church’s “birthday” every year at the end of June. This year’s 153rd Anniversary Celebration Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 28 at the church.

Special guests will be former pastor, the Rev. Gary Brooks, and his wife, Jeanne, who will be sharing greetings and God’s word.

Traditional and Contemporary (Revive) worship styles will be blended into one unique service.

There will be a brief trip down memory lane with a quick historical report, plus some special presentations from kids and youth.

Right after the service, the church is hosting a lunch in the Fellowship Hall.

Whether you’re a lifelong member, haven’t visited in a while, or are walking in for the very first time, you are welcome.
