Valley Community
Hospital Foundation will
dedicate the Pat Young
Imaging Center during a
Larned Chamber coffee
at 9:30 a.m. Thursday
at a conference room at
Pawnee Valley.
Hospital staff will talk
about the new GE Optima
CT 660 64-slice CT
scanner and how it will
improve patient care in
Pawnee County.
Rolls and resfreshments
will be served
at Pawnee Valley, 923
Carroll.


Welcome Inn
board meets

LARNED — The regular
monthly meeting of
the Welcome Inn Leisure
Center Inc. was called
to order by President
Charles Wonsetler, at
12:40 p.m. June 5.
In addition to Charles
Wonsetler, the following
board members were
present — Jim Forrest,
treasurer; Karlene Meckfessel,
financial secretary;
Betty Tauscher,
secretary: Thelmarie
Wilhite, historian and
Roger Haberman, reporter.
Absent was Ben Appel,
Vice-President. Bobbie
Sharrock and Mona Marie
Wysong were guests.
Jim Forrest gave the
treasurer’s report. All
bills were allowed.
The drawing for the
Picnic Basket will be
held during the Birthday
and Anniversary Dinner
scheduled June 20.
The Welcome Inn
board decided to discontinue
the ice cream
social held on the last
Sunday during the summer.
The number of
people attending this
event has been getting
smaller.
The next carry-in dinner
was scheduled June
9 with Valeta Milhon
and Roger Haberman
serving as hosts. The
carry-in dinner was held
May 12 with Inez Giessel
and Loretta Moss hosting.
Theer was a nice
turnout and plenty of
food.
The meeting adjourned
at 1:35 p.m. and
will meet again on July 3
at 12:45 p.m.
