HUTCHINSON — Larned High sophomore Colton Massey lost in a chip-off for first place and finished runner-up in the Nickerson Invitational Monday at the Highlands Golf Course.
Massey tied Brenden Miller of Hutchinson Trinity at 9-over-par 81. Miller won the first place medal with a closer chip in the playoff. Larned’s Brandon Bartz shot an 85 and finished fourth.
Ellinwood’s Gavin Vink placed fifth (87) and teammate Theron Sjogren placed sixth (88).
