Lunch offered Aug. 30 at Fort Larned Historic

FORT LARNED — A free lunch will be served to help Fort Larned National Historic Site celebrating its 50th anniversary of being a national park.
Free hotdogs and beans will be served starting at noon Aug. 30. Lunch is provided by the Fort Larned Old Guard.
“Be sure to spend time enjoying the music from two visiting military bands. Celebrate this milestone meant for your national park,” said Ellen Jones. Fort Larned Park Ranger.
Special activities and programs will be featured throughout the Labor Day weekend.
Fort Larned National Historic Site is located six miles west of Larned on K-156.  Open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., information on visiting is on the internet at www.nps.gov/fols, or by calling 620-285-6911. There is no admission fee.
