Republicans to meet

LARNED — A meeting for Pawnee County Teenage Republicans is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Larned Middle School band room. Refreshments will be served.

Diabetes group to meet

LARNED — The Pawnee County Diabetes Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Welcome Inn Senior Center, 113 W. 4th Street. Coffee and tea will be served.

Roundup scheduled

LARNED — Fort Larned USD 495 Jump Start Preschool Round-up is scheduled Friday, at Hillside Elementary, 502 W. 5th Street. Call for an appointment, 620-285-2311. Children who qualify and are 4 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2013.

Garage sale set

LARNED — A community garage sale is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Auditorium, 12th and State Streets. Most miscellaneous and household items are take what you want and pay what you think they are worth. Proceeds benefit the poor in Pawnee County.

Rose orders taken

The Larned Garden Club is taking orders for roses to be planted in the memory Rose Schnack Garden in Schnack Park. The roses are planted in memory loved ones whose names will be engraved on a brass plate on a memorial tablet in the garden. The cost includes the rose of your choice plus the brass plate and fertilizer. Orders may be placed by calling Judy Jennings at 285-3285. Orders must be placed by April 20.
