City council to meet

LARNED — The Larned City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in a special session. Agenda items include the 2014 budget hearing, KHRC bond; Moffet Stadium and FAA airport grant approval.

Health department
will assist mothers

LARNED — The Pawnee County Health Department is sponsoring a mother-friendly event from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, featuring vendors and community members promoting aspects Pawnee County offers to mothers and young families. Door prizes will be given away at 1:30 pm. The event is sponsored by Pawnee County Health Department, Pawnee County Breastfeeding Coalition, City of Larned, Tabler Furniture, Pawnee County Extension, Text4baby, and Walmart.

LARNED — The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation sponsors a Coffee Chat from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital café. Coffee Chat is an opportunity for community members to come and visit, share life and enjoy a treat and a great cup of coffee together.

Commissioners to take agenda on road to Burdett

LARNED — The Pawnee County commission will start their meeting at 9 a.m. Monday at the courthouse with agenda items featuring Carl Miller and neighborhood revitalization.
After a break, the commissioners will meet with Burdett seniors in a town hall meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the Burdett Senior Center. All Burdett area residents are welcometo attend.
