LARNED — Pawnee Valley Community Hospital will be hosting a scrub fair sale from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the St. Joseph meeting room.
Scrubs include solids and prints in 11 of the best brands on the market. Sizes XS thrrough 5XL will be sold. The sale is sponsored by WOW Scrubs of Dodge City and the PVCH Culture Committee.

GOLF EVENT—Golfers will tee off to provide better healthcare in Pawnee County during Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation’s Sixth Annual “Tee Off For Better Health” Benefit Golf Classic scheduled Sept. 27 at Larned Country Club.
Proceeds will be donated for the purchase of a new MRI at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital with the goal of paying off this vital piece of medical equipment by the end of this year.
The wide-bore short-tube 1.5 Tesla MRI is now available at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, offering patients more service days while giving them a better experience during their scan. This in turn means better healthcare for PVCH patients and the communities that PVCH serves.
The 4-player scramble tournament is scheduled Sept. 27 at the Larned Country Club. Entries will be limited to 18 teams. The entry fee is $65 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a catered lunch and hole prizes. A 9 a.m. shotgun start will follow 8 a.m. registration.
The Larned High School girls golf team will sell a “Bag of Balls” starting at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 27 to use for practice on the driving range. The $3 “Bag of Balls” will be donated to the Larned High girls golf team.

SLEEP CLINIC—Pawnee Valley Sleep and Diagnostic Center will be hosting a Free Sleep Apnea Awareness Clinic Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the St. Joseph Meeting Room at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.  The Keynote Speaker will be Jason Rath, Physical Therapist with PVCH’s Physical Therapy & Advanced Rehabilitation, who will be talking about  exercise and how it affects your sleep.  The Sleep Apnea Awareness Clinic welcomes sleep apnea patients, families and friends.   

ASK THE EXPERT—The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation will be hosting “Ask The Expert” during Coffee Chat Monday,  Sept. 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Meeting Room at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.  
This month’s featured speaker will be Christina Hughes who will be talking about PVCH’s new Wound Care Clinic. Coffee Chat is held every Monday and it is an opportunity for community members to gather together over free coffee and treats while sharing great fellowship and conversation.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

HEALTH FAIR—The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital’s Community Health Fair, co-hosted with First State Bank, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, from 6:30-9 a.m. on the second floor of First State Bank (enter through the south entrance). Get your lab tests done at reduced rates! Free blood pressure checks, flu shots and flu mist available through Pawnee County Health Department and many health education booths will also be there that morning. Stay on top of your health by taking part in this year’s Community Health Fair.
