Adam Longoria made a brief visit to Great Bend Regional Hospital late Wednesday. Sheriff Gregg Armstrong said Longoria, who is charged with capital murder in the death of Alicia DeBolt, had blood in one ear when he was taken from the Barton County Jail to the hospital at 514 Cleveland St., around 11:49 p.m. Longoria received treatment and was returned to jail without incident.
At least five officers were involved in escorting him to the hospital and back.
Armstrong said he didn’t know if the blood was a result of an injury or illness, but said Longoria reportedly has tubes in his ears from a previous medical condition. He was kept under observation and apart from other prisoners during his time at the jail this past week. He was not injured by jail staff, the sheriff added.
When not in Great Bend for court appearances, Longoria is in the custody of the Sedgwick County Jail.
