Man arrested at park had meth in backpack

The Great Bend Police Department nabbed a Great Bend man at Brit Spaugh Park Wednesday night on a  warrant and discovered he had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

According to a GBPD news release, a GBPD officer contacted Timothy Richardson, 27, in the park at 10:30 p.m. Richardson had a confirmed warrant through Great Bend Municipal Court and was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail.  

While at the jail, a small bag of meth and two syringes were located in Richardson’s back pack. So, he was also booked on possession of meth and possession of  drug paraphernalia.  Anyone with information in reference to this case or any other case is encouraged to contact the Great Bend Police Department at 620-793-4120 or Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300.
