The City of Great Bend’s 2022 chip and seal project has begun, and city officials are asking residents not to park on the following streets for the next two days:
• Lakin - McKinley to K-96
• Eisenhower - 10th to MacArthur Street
• Sheridan - 10th to K-96
• Coolidge -1100 block
• Forest Avenue - Wilson to Coolidge
• Harding - 10th to Broadway
• Wilson - 12th to Broadway
• Telestar Lane
• Apollo Avenue - 1700 block
• 17th Street Terrace
• Heritage Lane
• Walnut Street - 10th to 281 bypass
• MacArthur - 10th to 7th
“We will attempt to contact those who are still parked on the streets,” said Assistant City Engineer Sreehitha Kadiyala. “Please be advised, vehicles, that have not been moved when work commences will need to be towed.”
She asks residents to be attentive as crews work in these areas. They will make every effort to minimize the impact to traffic and “thank you for your patience.”
