LARNED — The Tuesday morning ladies’ “Glory Be” prayer group decided that it was time to let our local law enforcement agencies know how much they are appreciated and needed.
Margaret Garcia suggested making dinner for them, and she suggested her wonderful enchiladas. Mary Jones seconded the idea.
The women gathered at “Glory Be” on Tuesday morning and the work began.
Garcia was the “Cocinera Principal” or the Boss! The group put together the meals, and delivered a thank you letter as well for the Pawnee County Law Enforcement Officers.
The letter read as follows:
“Thank You Pawnee County Law Enforcement Officers.
“We appreciate your service to our community. Please know that we lift all of you up in prayer daily for: Protection for you and your family. That the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom, to guide you in all situations throughout the day and that the community will continue to support and appreciate your service and dedication.
The Tuesday morning “Glory Be” participants are Marsha Erway, Michelle Gwen, Judi Tabler, Mary Jones, Rita Hewson, Lois Posey, Rawya Evers, Valerie Posey, Margaret Garcia, Janet Hammeke and Jan Apley.
