MANHATTAN — Larned High’s all-league catcher Tyler Stelter delivered a base hit for the Blue team in a 10-9 loss to the Green team Wednesday in the KBCA all-star baseball game.
Stelter played five innings for the Blue team, which led 6-2. Stelter singled and scored on a base hit by Chase Redick of Shawnee Mission North.
Bluestem’s Cooper Minnick and Santa Fe Trail’s Weston Gloss delivered RBI singles to hand the Blue team a 9-8 lead in the top of the ninth inning.
A single by Baldwin’s Ben Brungardt scored Braden Anderson off Baxter Springs’s Brendan Skye to hand the Green team a 10-9 victory in the ninth inning.
The Blue’s relievers yielded eight runs at Kansas State’s Tointon Family Stadium.
