Public presentation explores Kansas Culture and Archeology
The Kansas Anthropological Association (KAA) will host Dr. M.J. Morgan as speaker for the Kansas Humanities Council at 1 p.m. on April 18, in the Fellowship Hall of Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 North Main in Lindsborg. Her presentation and discussion, “Lost Kansas Communities,” will be one of five presentations about Kansas’ archeological and cultural heritage. Other topics and speakers for the afternoon include: 2014 Excavations at the Adair Cabin Site (in Osawatomie), by John Fox; Central Kansas Indian Rock Art Surveys by Kent Sallee; Local Impact in Preserving Archeological Sties by SHPO Archeologist Dr. Tim Weston; and the Kansas Archeology Training Program in it’s 40th Year, by State Archeologist Dr. Robert Hoard.
The program will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. Members of the community and surrounding area are invited to attend this free event.
