Sponsors of Royal Family Kids Camp, which provides summer fun for children in foster care, will hold a 5K run/walk at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Brit Spaugh Park.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in seven age groups, immediately following the races. Preregistration of $25 received by Tuesday, April 8, includes a T-shirt. Registrations will continue to be taken after that, with race-day registration costing $30. Late registrations also include T-shirts, which can be delivered to the runners’ home addresses if out of stock on race day.
Friday night registration and number pickup may be done from 6-8 p.m. on April 18 at the First Assembly of God church, 601 South Patton Road in Great Bend. Saturday morning registration and number pickup starts at 6 a.m. in the parking lot east of the pool at Brit Spaugh Park.
Entrants must sign a release and waiver, with a parent or guardian’s signature if under 18 years old. Registration and payment may be mailed to First Assembly of God, 601 S Patton Road, Great Bend, KS 67530. Make checks payable to First Assembly of God, and note in the memo “to Royal Family 5K.”
