Scare at hoisington School

A 13-year-old Hoisington student is in juvenile custody on Thursday following an arrest after police investigated an alleged school threat, Hoisington Police Chief Kenton Doze said.
The boy was arrested off campus after school officials learned of the alleged verbal threat to shoot students at the school.
“During the investigation of the threat, the police searched the boys home and found no weapons,” Doze said. “We provided additional security at the school on Thursday. USD 431 also canceled a track meet due to safety concerns for the students.
