The Patient Care Fund at Heartland Cancer Center has grown by $58,715, thanks to the generosity of local and area residents, said Mark Mingenback, St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center director of business strategy and marketing.
The funds were raised at the recent St. Rose Golf Classic & Auction; St. Rose owns Heartland Cancer Center.
“Our great community came together and raised $58,715.99,” Mingenback said. “Everyone who donated in whatever way can be assured that all proceeds go directly to our fund that helps patients who are uninsured or under-insured. Their needs are many and unique.”
Since the beginning of this annual fundraiser, St. Rose has raised $442,071 for local cancer patients.
“We couldn’t even attempt to do this without the sponsors, those who donate to the auction and play in the golf tournament, and those who give their time and money,” Mingenback said. “All of us at St. Rose and our Heartland Cancer Center are grateful.”
