Stafford County adjusts salaries

ST. JOHN — These are the minutes from the Stafford County Board of County Commissioner meeting.

The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, June 3, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman Garner called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Bryce Garner, Todd Wycoff, and Jim Stanford.

Wendy Lockwood, Center for Counseling & Consultation, met with the Commissioners to present the 2027 budget allocation request. She went over last year’s statistics and discussed the services and programs The Center provides.

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Wycoff seconded, to sign a letter of support for the broadband grant application that GBT will be submitting.

Misty Rudy, EMS Director, met with the commissioners to discuss the research she has done on pay rates for staff based on levels of training and experience. She submitted salary increase requests for two employees who have received their AEMT Certification. Commissioner Wycoff moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the salary increase requests for Cheyenne Holmes from $14.80 to $18 and Britani Grabast from $16 to $18. Motion carried 3-0.

Cheryl Budge, Appraiser, introduced Robert Cox who will be working in the Appraisers Office over the summer doing data collection. She also presented a salary request increase for Dylan Seabol as he has successfully completed this year’s classes. Commissioner Wycoff moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the salary increase request for Dylan Seabol from $16.50 to $17. Motion carried 3-0. Cheryl then showed the commissioners a sample of an Ag Questionnaire that Kimble Mapping has helped create which will be sent to all agricultural landowners.

Commissioner Wycoff moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the minutes from the May 27th meeting. Motion carried 3-0.

The regular session was then adjourned to a budget workshop.
