Two Great Bend men were injured in an accident at 11:30 p.m. on Monday in Barton County.

The vehicle left the roadway. The driver attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the road and over corrected. The SUV went into a skid and overturned.

A passenger in the vehicle identified as Robert Amador Jr, age 25 also of Great Bend sustained more serious injuries.
Amador was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital and was later flown to a Wichita area hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
Investigation indicates speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the accident. Castanon-Calderon was arrested and booked on charges of DUI. Other charges may be pending.
