This year’s theme for the evening is “A House United for Education.” It will feature many Kansas colleges and universities through decorations and auction items.
“Our theme is a takeoff on the ‘House Divided’ idea,” said Schartz. “We are hopeful that friendly rivalries between the alums of various schools will help boost the bidding and help raise funds for our local programs.”
The Great Bend High School Panther Jazz Band will play school fight songs, GBHS cheerleaders will help serve the dinner and attendees are asked to dress in support of their favorite college teams.
High school woodworking and technology students have made items engraved with GBHS Panthers for the silent auction and glass pendants in various school colors are also planned by art students.
