Nationally renowned artist Peter Eades has donated one of his paintings to the Shafer Art Gallery, at Barton Community College.

Eades recently served as the juror in the Shafer Art Gallery’s first national juried art show, “Choreography of Cranes,” coordinated by the gallery and the Kansas Wetlands Education Center.

“He donated the painting because he was so impressed by the quality of our facilities, the important relevance of our vision for the Choreography of Cranes Exhibit and the warm and professional way in which he was treated by the Shafer Gallery and Kansas Wetlands Educational Center staff,” Gallery Director Dave Barnes said.
