Wilson State Park will be taking campsite reservations for the 2012 camping season beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Reservations will be for the following areas only: Big Bluestem #26-40, Goldenrod 1-8 and Lovegrass Group Camp.
Reservations done on January 3rd will be by a lottery drawing. Everyone present at the first drawing will be given a numbered ticket; customers will then be taken in order by the number of their ticket. Customers will be allowed to make three reservations under different names and addresses. Additional lotteries will be held as necessary in order to accommodate customers arriving after the first drawing. This lottery type drawing will allow everyone an equal opportunity for reservations and will only be done on the 3rd.
Phone reservations on Jan. 3 will be done after all lottery drawings are completed.
Reservations made after Jan. 3 can be done in person at the park office or by calling the park office. All fees will be paid the day reservations are made including the purchase of Annual Camping Permits and 14 Day Camping Pennits. Annual Camping Permits have decreased in price to $152.50 if purchased during the off season (Oct - March) and $202.50 if purchased during the prime season (April- September). All utility fees have increased by $1 compared to 2011 and second vehicle pennits at a discounted price will not be available in 2012.
