A Hutchinson man was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries on Friday after the vehicle he was driving collided with a Ford F-350 in a Reno County intersection. The other driver, from Hudson, reported no injuries.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:37 p.m. on Aug. 25 on U.S. 50, at the intersection with Whiteside Road.

Clinton F. Peirce, 87, of Hutchinson was driving a northbound 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB Class on Whiteside Road and pulled into the intersection, colliding with the 2012 Ford truck driven by Paul C. Sundby, 53, from Hudson.

The Mercedes came to rest in the middle lanes of U.S. 50. The Ford entered the median and rolled onto its top.

Both men were wearing seat belts. Peirce was taken to the hospital after saying he was in pain.
