Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters responded to five Emergency Medical Service calls Friday, seven Saturday and three Sunday.
They were dispatched to three unauthorized burns due to the burn ban restrictions on Friday. On Monday, the burn restriction was upgraded by the Barton County Commission to a county-wide burn ban.
They were on standby Saturday at the Expo for indoor races.
A chemical spill was reported at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Patton Road. The company was notified and responded to clean it up.

A disturbance at the Barton County Detention Center was reported at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
Great Bend Police
Criminal damage to property was reported Friday after someone threw a rock through a window at a residence at 2815 Broadway Ave.
Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle at the Great Bend Public Library.
A burglary with theft of medication was reported at 1516 16th St.
A bicycle was reportedly stolen from 2801 Meadowlark Lane.
A wallet was reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 1618 Jefferson St.
An officer located two street signs at 19th and Jackson that someone had spray painted.
A disturbance at 2721 Forest Ave. was reported at 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
Theft of items from a vehicle at 1513 Stone St. was reported.
A possible burglary in progress was reported Saturday night in the 2200 block of Lakin Ave. when a resident discovered an open door. Nothing was found.
Later that night, an individual in a residence in the 5200 block of 10th St. reported hearing noises coming from her couch.
Theft from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Stone St. was reported early Sunday.
Theft of a pickup in the 1700 block of Morphy Street was reported at 6:15 a.m. Sunday. It was located in the 2500 block of 21st Street around 9 a.m.
GBPD assisted another law enforcement agency in locating a vehicle reportedly stolen from Hoisington. The vehicle was located outside Parts Inc., 2538 10th St. in Great Bend, and was collected by Marshalls Towing & Recovery.
Theft of a small dog from 1022 Van Buren St. was reported.
A non-injury hit-and-run was reported at 11th and Washington at 4:13 p.m. Sunday.
Someone reportedly slashed tires at 1706 Williams St.
A non-injury crash was reported at 7:07 p.m. Sunday at 10th and Frey.
