Great Bend Fire Department
Firefighters made 10 ambulance runs Friday, 10 Saturday and five Sunday.
At 7:20 a.m. Friday units responded to 2920 10th St. when a carbon monoxide detector sounded. No CO was found; the detector was faulty and needed to be replaced.
At 4:34 p.m. Saturday units responded to a smell of natural gas at 1300 Stone St. The odor was coming from equipment in the building; no gas leak was found.
At 2:04 a.m. Monday, units responded to 5320 10th St. where an automatic alarm was going off. No fire was found.

Great Bend Police
A burglary was reported Friday at 1103 Warner Road. Computer items and jewelry were stolen.
Nicholas Thomas, Great Bend, allegedly stole items from Walmart. He was arrested on outstanding warrants for probation violation in Barton and Russell counties, and held at the Barton County Jail in lieu of bond.
At 2:29 a.m. Saturday, damage to a 2002 Mitsubishi in the 1400 block of Jackson St. was reported.
A vehicle driven by Dalyn Bauer, Great Bend, was westbound in the 4900 block of Lakin Ave. at 2:42 a.m. Saturday and struck a telephone pole and guy wire. This was reported as an injury accident. Bauer was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released after posting a $1,000 surety bond.
A pickup was reported missing at 3:24 a.m. but no case was taken after it was located behind Duke’s Bar & Grill, 619 Main.
Christmas lights at 1805 Tyler St. were damaged during the night, it was reported Saturday.
A gas skip was reported at 1315 10th St.
A suspected woman shoplifter at Walmart was served a notice to appear (NTA) in municipal court.
An NTA was served at 10:22 p.m. Saturday in reference to criminal damage at Travelodge, 3200 10th St.
A known person allegedly took items from Walmart, it was reported Sunday.
A vehicle driven by David Lomas was eastbound on 10th St. at 4:29 p.m. Sunday and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Danielle Grubb, after Grubb allegedly failed to yield on Adams St.
At 5:29 p.m. Sunday, vehicles driven by Alexis Woods and Carol Weis collided at Walmart.
A cell phone was reportedly stolen from 2201 27th St.
An officer found a boys bicycle at 4:06 a.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Morton St. and placed it into evidence.

Barton County Sheriff
An Ellinwood police officer reported criminal damage Friday on East Santa Fe Blvd., outside of the city limits.
At 7:57 a.m. Friday, it was reported that someone fired a shot from a vehicle on SE 105 Ave. and SE 20 Road, by the “old bridge.”
At 6:21 p.m. Friday, it was reported that a bullet came through a window at 283 Liberty Road, Great Bend, about 45 to 60 minutes earlier.
A vehicle hit a deer on North Washington Ave. and NW 50 Road around 7:07 p.m. Friday.
A Nissan Altima hit a deer at 5:22 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East U.S. 56.
A semitrailer approaching Great Bend on east U.S. 56 at 4:15 p.m. Sunday lost “large items” which were in the roadway.
A vehicle hit a deer at 4:40 p.m. Monday, in the 500 block of North U.S. 281.
