Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Monday and two Tuesday.
At 1:33 p.m. Monday, units responded to a grass fire at 221 Baker Ave. It was already was extinguished when they arrived. Subjects had been using a cutting torch and caught the grass on fire. They used a garden hose to put it out.
Great Bend Police
Theft of a decal was reported Tuesday.
A camera was reportedly stolen at 4107 10th St.
A “flat bed” was reportedly stolen from 910 Walnut St.
Vehicle parts were reportedly stolen from 205 Frey St.
A hit-and-run vehicle allegedly struck a vehicle driven by Gary Dino, around 2:06 p.m. Tuesday at 1200 Truman St.
A knife was reportedly stolen from a vehicle at 5933 Westridge Dr.
A burglary was reported at 1318 Frey St. Someone entered the residence and stole jewelry.
Barton County Sheriff
A stop sign was down Tuesday at North U.S. 281 and NE 80 Road.
A possible injury accident was reported at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, north of Albert on NW 130 Ave. and NW 110 Road. The driver ran into the ditch and airbags deployed, but he was not injured. A wrecker was needed.
