Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made seven ambulance runs Friday, 13 Saturday and 10 Sunday.
At 3:36 p.m. Saturday, units responded to 25th and Morton St. where a neighbor had called in a possible structure fire. The home owner had recently started are fire in the fireplace and the smoke was coming from the chimney.
There was a fire at 11:50 a.m. Sunday in a vacant lot just north of 351 North U.S. 281.

Great Bend Police
Lane County officials contacted Great Bend Police on Friday morning to advise they had located a stolen vehicle and missing person. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office had checked a Pawnee Rock address earlier that morning for a red 2007 Ford Fusion and/or the missing man.
Someone tried to break into Parts Inc., 2538 10th St., and caused damage.
Two women were served notices to appear in municipal court for alleged shoplifting and were banned from Walmart.
A window was broken on the residence at 2111 16th St.
At 6:17 a.m. Saturday, police received a report that a hit-and-run vehicle had hit a parked vehicle in the 1100 block of Eisenhower.
Police were dispatched to the 5900 block of Aspen Dr. at 3:42 p.m. Saturday. A woman reported an unknown male battered her; a criminal trespass case was also taken.
Cesar Arteaga was driving north on Frey St. coming to a stop at Broadway at 7:33 p.m. Saturday when a tire came from an unknown location and struck the front of the vehicle.
A fight was reported at 1:06 a.m. Sunday at Charlie’s Place, 1109 Main. Three people were arrested for criminal trespass.
A theft was reported at 3:55 a.m. Sunday at 321 Heizer St. A stereo and old baseball cards were taken.
A Samsung Galaxy cell phone was reportedly stolen from 1438 Eighth St.
Known women were reported as shoplifting Sunday afternoon from 1000 Main and 3503 10th St. At 10:50 p.m., an unknown male reportedly stole a light bulb from 1221 10th St.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:34 p.m. Friday on U.S. 281, just south of the Lake Barton golf club (673 North U.S. 281).
A truck and tools were stolen from 3024 Railroad Ave., it was reported Saturday.
A vehicle hit a buck at 6:57 p.m. Saturday on K-156 between Claflin and Great Bend.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, it was discovered that road signs were down at SE 20 Road and SE 120 Ave., and there were “tracks all over the place.” Curve marker signs had been run over.
