Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made three ambulance runs on Tuesday.
There was a false alarm at 2:19 p.m. at 5949 Anchor Way. People were sanding wallboard inside the house and the dust set off the smoke alarm.

Barton County Sheriff
Theft of oil field tubing from NW 100 Road and NW 50 Ave. was reported Tuesday.
A possible burglary in progress was reported at 8:03 p.m. Tuesday at an abandoned house in or near the 300 block of NW 10 Ave. Someone reportedly broke into the house last Friday, and someone was trespassing at the site again.
A vehicle hit a deer at 6:22 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of West K-4.

Great Bend Police
Theft of items from the kitchen at the Highland Hotel, 3017 10th St., was reported Tuesday.
Keys were reportedly stolen from 5210 10th St.
An identity theft case was taken after someone used an individual’s information to obtain a credit card. The victim also reported someone using her credit card to buy items online with multiple purchases.
A hit-and-run vehicle struck a parked vehicle at 2441 24th St.
