Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made four ambulance runs Wednesday.
At 9:02 p.m. units were called to 2210 25th St. where a strong smell of gas was noticed by a person walking by. The area was checked but nothing was detected.

Great Bend Police
Officers assisted at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) shut down Duke’s Bar & Grill, 619 Main St., for alleged alcohol violations.
A stolen license plate was recovered.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a deer at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday on K-156 and SE 20 Ave., about 2 miles east of Great Bend.
